Stewart Brentnall

Director

Stewart joined the TDRF Board in 2017.
In his Executive role, Stewart is the Chief Investment Officer of NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp), leading TCorp’s Investment Management division, responsible for managing $105 bn of assets on the NSW Government’s balance sheet.
Prior to this Stewart was Chief Investment Officer of ANZ’s Australasian Wealth business, where he was responsible for running a centralised investment office across retail, high net worth and institutional customer channels in Australia and NZ. Based around an asset allocation model, Stewart was responsible for investment strategy, fund manager selection, portfolio management (construction), execution, risk analytics and governance for all client offerings. During his time at ANZ, Stewart advised TDRF on its investment strategy for the portfolio of assets that fund TDRF’s operations.
Stewart has 30 years’ experience in the investment management industry, in senior roles at BT Financial Group, Queensland Investment Corporation, Goldman Sachs, and Schroder Investment Management, in Sydney, Brisbane and London.
Stewart has served on a number of Boards in Australia and New Zealand, of both corporate and trustee capacities.
Stewart has a BEc (Hons) from Bristol University (UK). He is a Chartered Accountant, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Fellow of FINSIA.
