Evenings with David Roche
The Pursuit of Pattern exhibition opening | Thursday 31 January 2019 5–8 PM (note: date changed)
Join us for the twilight opening of our new Pursuit of Pattern exhibition at The David Roche Foundation in North Adelaide from 5pm on Thursday 31 (note: date changed) January!
Be the first to view the beautiful furniture, objets d’art and jewellery in the new exhibition in Gallery 3. Delight in a medley of timeless classics with a concert band in the forecourt before gaining fascinating insights into the exotic and enticing art of marquetry with a special guest speaker in the gallery, or relax on the lawns, where a range of drinks will be available.
Also enjoy captivating new displays in Galleries 1 & 2 of key pieces from David Roche’s private collection.
Be seduced by the exquisite flourish of Santerre’s Régence masterpiece, The Regent, Philippe Duc d’Orleans and his Mistress, as Adam and Eve. Be enticed by Girodet’s amorous Dance of the Nymphs, or perhaps enjoy some pleasant ‘conversation’ with Mrs George Rogers in her private garden.
Come by on the way home from work or before heading out to dinner.
Doors open 5pm – 8pm. Complementary drink on arrival. Further drinks will be available for purchase.
